The plain-English terms for using Chinese Name Studio and buying its digital products.
What this service is
Chinese Name Studio is a naming and cultural reference tool for choosing an everyday Chinese name. It is not a legal-name registration service, immigration service, linguistic certification, or personalised legal advice.
Using the site
You may use the free search and previews for personal, lawful purposes. Do not scrape the library, bypass access controls, probe the service, or use automated requests to reproduce its content.
You are responsible for checking that a name suits your own context before using it publicly. Classical references and explanations are provided in good faith, but they are not a guarantee of how every Mandarin speaker will interpret a name.
Digital purchases
Paid products are delivered digitally after a successful payment. The merchant of record processes the transaction, sets the applicable payment terms, and sends the receipt. Prices and included features are shown at checkout and on this site before you pay.
Purchases are one-time payments and do not renew automatically. Access may be revoked if a payment is refunded, reversed, or determined to be fraudulent.
Refunds
If a delivered high-resolution file is materially defective or not as described, contact us within 14 days of purchase at the support address below. We will review the request and, where approved, ask the merchant of record to process the refund to the original payment method.
Content and licence
The site, its curated explanations, source selections, layout, and generated files are owned by Chinese Name Studio or its licensors. One Name gives you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use that name's artwork in personal materials and ordinary self-presentation. Full Library also permits ordinary commercial use of the exported artwork in your own branding and business materials.
Neither tier permits you to resell, redistribute, sublicense, or present the site's files or explanations as your own naming library, template collection, or competing service. Any third-party typefaces or source material remain subject to their own licences.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available and accurate, but it is provided on an as-is basis. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for a name's reception, pronunciation, cultural fit, or suitability for an official document.
